 This FTDI lead when combined with the Subaru FreeSSM V1.2.5 software allows you to talk to the engine and transmission modules on your Subaru, using your own laptop, saving you expensive dealer diagnostic fees.

An FTDI chip, equipped cable is essential for a reliable connection to your Subaru. Please note that cheaper cables containing the CH340 chip or similar will not work and will cause connection problems.
