This cable features the FTDI FT232RL chipset. It has pins 7&8 bridged together along with the required programming to work with BMW models.

First time experience

Having had no previous experience of vehicle diagnostics or engine management systems, I have embarked on a project to install a modern diesel engine into an older Landrover Defender. Obviously using modified ECU and wiring will present a few challenges, so I did some research into the software and hardware required to view all parameters involved in running this engine. I found DJWW Auto Diagnostics and found the website very helpful, and was particularly comforted by the personal approach and eagerness to help customers solve their problems, not just selling a relatively inexpensive cable. The purchasing experience was excellent with good informative responses and updates. The package arrived in good time. I had some issues loading the cable software on my PC, so messaged David. He was most helpful in arranging a convenient time to host a 'Teamviwer' session where he could access my PC and complete the necessary system configuration to install the software. I have yet to use the cable as the engine installation is not complete, but my overall experience with DJWW is very positive and I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone.
